“The greatest gift you can give another is the purity of your attention.”
– Richard Moss
Epilepsy, like any condition is overwhelming at times, particularly when you first discover your diagnosis. There is so much to take on board and when being assigned a doctor you assume because they’re a professional they’re the best in their field. There are many people I know of who have been deeply unhappy with their treatment by their medical expert and others who have been extremely satisfied.
If you are not happy, change it, you deserve the best there is; listen to your instinct – there’s a reason for it speaking up. Trust and faith in your doctor is essential. They need to listen to you and not talk at you, this is your health too and decisions should be made together. If you don’t have these the relationship and treatment won’t be fruitful. So yes, it takes courage but make the change to ensure you’re receiving the best health care available.
